"someone is whispering something......."

This reminds me: The scene where Carol Anne is in her parents bedroom and wakes up, she climbs out of bed and sits in front of the TV. A hand comes out and as it is, there is whispering. Does anyone know what it's saying? I heard GAB had some answers about the whispers on what they said and such, but looks like he'll never post them. So, if anyone could let me know, I'd appreciate it. I THINK there's whispering when Carol Anne is being sucked in the closet. Also, is there any whispering in Polt. 2?

…here is the link to a past thread about the whispering voices

some of the whispering is very clear…in the “They’re here” scene, you can distinctly make-out: "Carol Anne”, and then what sounds like: “would you like to come?...we'll go somewhere fun...Carol Anne...join the fun..." and from the closet-sucking scene: “Carol Anne...Carol Anne, come on…let’s go play…come on Carol Anne”

That reminds me of The Shining where the ghosts of the dead twins appear to Danny and say, "Come and play with us Danny..." in kind of a whispery tone.

Hey guys,

Yes, Sabrina, that does remind me of the Shining! I was just watching that a few weeks ago. I realized how creepy Jack Nicholson is in that movie, lol. Paul, thank you SO much for making it out for me. I can't even hear them at all, and it doesn't say in the closed captioning and it only says "whispering" but not what it's saying, grrrr. I can't hear high frequency sounds, and since I read lips I can't really understand whispers and have to watch their lips, lol. Like, I hate when people whisper in my ear because I'll be like. "Look at me," and then I'll read their lips. It's hard, but I deal with it. Other than that, I can hear low tones very well. It's only high sounds like birds, crickets, cell phones (depends the tone), etc. Thanks again!! Next time I'll blast my TV on that scene and place my ear next to the speaker, lol. No, j/k. That's damaging to the ears. Is the whispering coming from a child or an adult? Male or female?

To me, the voice sounds more female a lot of the time in the "They're Here" sequence, more young adult, too, like a 20-something year old lady tempting Carol Anne with candy and sweet words. To me, a lot of the whispers sound female and young adult. Not child-like. Altough you can definitely hear children laughing gleefully when the Beast beckons Carol Anne with, "Carol Anne, (echos)Carol Anne, let's go play...(echos)...let's go play...let's go play all day! Come on, Carol Anne, come on!"

Then when the Beast starts yelling at her in the "Mommy, there's somebody here" sequence, it definitely sounds young to middle age adult male, but all of the words are garbled gibberish echoing through my ears, and I know well that it's fully intended to be that way.

What is the beast saying to her? And what is the male saying? Sorry, I just like to know these things, lol. I hate missing out.

READ, AJA, READ! LOL! :D

The adult male yelling at Carol Anne as she screams for it to leave her alone IS the Beast!

Wow I never knew that! Next time I watch it I'll be sure to put my ears to the tv to see if I can hear it. I wish there was a sound wave so I could hear it better.

In the scene where Diane places her hand on the TV screen after realizing Carol Anne's voice was echoing from the signed off TV set, I could here a whisper say something like, "We're hiding her [Carol Anne] in the walls!" I'm almost sure that's what the voice said. Very creepy!

Does the closed-captioning or English subtitles pick up any of these lines?

No, the closed captioning never does...and that, I'm sure, is on purpose.

That's not fair, they should at least put what the ghosts are saying in the subtitles for the hearing impaired for those people with hearing difficulties. I can hear the ghosts telling Carol Anne to come and play with them, when Robbie gets taken by the tree and the closet has opened. But i haven't heard the ghosts telling Diane that there hiding Carol Anne in the walls. I will have to listen out for that! Sounds creepy lol

WHAT? That really sounds very interesting - I will check out these scenes at the next oppertunity. Thanks for the Tip and they really should have placed subtitles for it.
