Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, please keep a few things in mind on the board...

  • Bypassing the censors, they are there for a reason, just type whatever word you are thinking and let the censors do their jobs.

  • Please be careful of talking about family members and friends of board members that are not registered here and cannot defend themselves on the board even if meant as a joke.

  • Keep in mind if making comments that can be taken the wrong way, they cannot see your face or expression and you cannot see what their current mood is (unless stated on that "current mood" thread); so that can become a mess. If there is an issue, please use your PM feature.

  • Please use the "Report Post" feature if you feel it is necessary.

  • Also keep in mind, when you quote objectionable content within your post, you are as responsible as the original poster for that content; if your edit time has expired and you want to remove a quote or any other part of your post, please either PM a mod, or just report your own post.

Thanks, and have fun; and no, I didn't take the fun away here, just want to make sure we can continue it.

They need to be adjusted...when we were playing 6 degrees of separation from Heather...we had problems with D!ck van Dyk*e

There are too many common words that get stuck in the filter

another one I mentioned in a previous post was "Ross River ######" >>sorry>>"water storage area" which is near the suburb of Rassmussen in Townsville where another member lives.

The missing word there is ( mad spelt in reverse ) (I did not type the #####)

Has anyone heard of a song called "elderly man river" by Stan Freberg, it is a sendup of a traditional song called "old man river"

Ok, this doesn't have to do with board etiquette, per se, but I didn't feel like this needed a whole thread to itself:

Can we please try and refrain from making one/two word posts? It's ok every once in a while and when it's necessary, but lately there are way too many threads made up mostly of, "Yeah," "ok," or, smiley faces. For example, if someone responds to a post by saying, "I know," there's no need at all to make a response with just, "Yeah," or anything like that. It wastes space and if someone's looking for a certain post, it's annoying to scroll through a bunch of nothing.

I'm obviously not referring to the threads in the hangout area, I know we have some threads where only a one word response is required, like the "Last Word You Said" thread. I'm talking about the topics where we talk about Heather, her movies and commercials, etc.

That's why we've enlisted the help of the Smileys: :P :) :D

Seriously though, I think people have been pretty good about that here, compared to some of the other (auto) forums I've been to in the past. And that's great considering how we're all over the map, with different cultures, different ages, etc etc.

There are certain words that won't be posted on the forum, and instead you'll see a couple of these: #### in place of the word. It helps keep things clean.

I have been drinking that water for over 35 years. It is of excellent quality, mountain river fed by melting snow.
