I have blown up the picture to a larger size, its not good but it is clearer

1979 sounds about right for the childrens version. The USA for Africa version of "We are the World" entered the 4kq top forty charts on 1 April 1975 (8 months before Heather was born) and remained on the charts for 22 weeks.
I have ordered a copy of this record to add to the members library. (I didn't win the one that was on ebay)

We are the World came out in the 80's. I don't really think it came out in the late 70's.

It definately came out in 1975 (the USA for Africa version I'm talking about here) You are probably getting it confused with another song with a similar theme called "Dont they know its Christmas" by BandAid. This was released for Christmas 1984 and rereleased again for the 1989 Christmas.
BTW I also have a record library, (and I hate having to buy adapters for the large centre holes in the middle of American records)

We are the World came out in the 80's. I was in grade school and remember it well. It had every singer imaginable that was popular on the album. I was seven or eight years old. I do remember the other Christmas song that you are talking about. their wasn't anything like that going on in 1975 at all. It was like 1984 or 1985. they showed it on M t.v. like crazy. then in one of those kid shots I recognized the boy from "whose the Boss" in one of those pictures. So, this all went on during the 80's. Somebody else is typing in wrong information about when this album came out. We are the world is a part of 80's pop culture.
O.k. I just looked it up and confirmed what I was talking about. On the interent it says "We Are the World" is a 1985 song written by Michael Jackson and produced by Quincy jones. It was recorded January 28th,1985 and was released on March 7th 1985. Another place to look where it talks about the year it came out is the wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. and to say that a kid version was going on in the late 70's can't be right because Heather wasn't in the entertainment industry at that time. She wwould have been too young. So, it all happened in the 80's.

Wow, I never thought three of my fave actresses would be together in something. Though I expected Drew and Heather, but Alyssa?! Woah! :D
I have a question, is this Alyssa Milano? I can pick her out in anything so I'm pretty sure it is her. Well, at least I hope.

Looks like you could be right after all, and my book possibly has a misprint. I took a look at the cover of the USA For Africa record and it looks more 80s-ish than from the 70s. I now have a copy of the "Children of the world " version of this song and the record label clearly says 1985 so the seller of this record on ebay was wrong when they say it was from 1979
see record label

Here is a picture of the front cover of the record. You will see that Heather iis not in the picture here.

And the back cover showing that Heather is not in the picture.
