Why did they make an open casket funeral to Heather? I guess it had to be extremely painful to look at her cute little face turned pale and so quiet. I suppose that was by far the last chance to see her and to be with her, but it's still very sad.

Her mother asked for it. It was just a more personal way to say goodbye, I suppose. And a way to see her one last time. :(

well at that time, i was only 1 lol, but if i was the age i am now, and saw her like that, i dont think i woulda liked that very much. becuase of what Jafo-man said, "be extremely painful to look at her cute little face turned pale and so quiet." that would have to be the worst think ever to see, seeing heather like that. yea im rambling and im shutting up now lol.

...cute little face turned pale...

Morticians / Embalmers have to be licensed by the state, and many of them also are licensed cosmetologists...with extensive training in cosmetology specifically for "open-casket" funerals, where the deceased are usually embalmed (preserved with chemicals) and then color make-up is applied to any exposed skin, (face, neck, hands, etc.) to give a more "life-like" appearance...

In all likelihood, Heather was prepared in this way for her viewing...

yea they do have the make up for them, but its still really not the same. you would notice its not real because u automaticly know its already make up. so basicly you know to look for it in your mind

they use tooo much make up. I was at my friends furneal and they had so much make up on her you would think she was modeling or something

 I guess you all are right, but make-up is still a poor substitute for reality. Don't you agree?

I agree with Jafo man. Makeup isn't the right thing. But I also agree that it would be sad to look at her when a that beautiful little girl was so pale looking. :(

we leave our loved ones casket open so we can say goodbye properly.the photo seems fake of heather there is a photo in the casket

itself of a black haired woman???also no dumbo toy.its terrible when anyone googles heather that photo will come up

but we don't know for sure if the photo is fake unless a family member comes forward to say if its real or not that's unlikely to ever happen

They did come forward, to me! It's fake for sure, I explained this last year in an old post! It's a FAKE, FAKE FAKE photo! Scott from www.findadeath.com/ is a fraud!

Yep. It's fake. I need to put that in the FAQ. I'm tired of people asking about it.

Well, when people do see it, of course they are going to wonder if they don't know what Heather wore or what she was buried with.

It's just too bad that the photo has spread.
