Have any of you ever seen photos of the Poltergeist cast at the premiere of the movie in 1982? The movie was a big hit, and I assume that the media would have been at the premiere taking lots of pictures, and doing red carpet interviews with cast, but I have never seen a single photo. Have these photos just never been released to the public?

From what I remember, the Poltergeist premiere party was very small. I'm going by what Tammy said. Little if any press was there.

Wow, I'm surprised that the party would be so small. I thought that another member had once asked Tammy about the Poltergeist premiere, and she said that she had attended the premiere with Heather. So, I assumed that the press might have been there and taken pictures.

Tammy did. I remember her saying the premiere was no where special (in a movie theater) and it was small.

You know it's been so long since the premiere of the movie, but if I remember correctly they had a screening at MGM studios. I still have the program from that night. Of course all the cast and crew was there, but it wasn't a big public screening. When it came out in the theaters, we all went and saw it together as a family. No big fanfare.
