Which Poltergeist film was my favorite? The first one, definitely. First of all, it knocked the socks off me the very first time I ever saw it. I mean, the tree grabbing Robbie, the way Heather screamed when she was being sucked into the closet, and especially the entire sequence of events after Dr. Lesh and her colleagues arrived at the house with Tangina was just totally cool. I can't say the movie was as scary as "Child's Play," but it definitely was better. |

Which Poltergeist movie was your favorite? Mine was III. Carol Anne stopped being a victim like she was before. She was older and apparently tired of being 'possessed', so to speak. We finally got to see her interact with kids her own age and the real world. She would have been a great character to see evolve some more had it not been for Heather's death. |

Again, I'd have to say Poltergeist. She was so lovely in it and stole the movie in a riveting way. I'll put a poll up, okay? |

I still think that was the best one, even though the ending had to be changed. |

I am going to have to agree with CHICKLES82 in this one. The first Poltergeist was AWSOME and Heater was incredible. She put on a fantastic performace that was all to natural for her. Don't get me wrong... Heather was great in anything that she played, but I can not forget how she stole the hearts and attention of everyone right from the start in Poltergeist. A particular scene comes to mind as I am writing this: As Heather is in the football helmet and gear and she is sliding across this kitchen floor thinking that this is just too cool. That movie was great begining to end. Actually the third on I have not seen in quite some time, I'm going to have to go out and buy it... I have been trying to get them all on DVD but unfortunatly I can only get the first one that way. Oh well for me. |

I liked all three films; Poltergeist was my favourite. I lot of work went into making the film, especially the scene when Carol Anne was screaming when the closet door swung open and all the toys got sucked in the closet. As a horror film, it had its comedy scenes, such as the one when Steven was showing some prospective buyers in a kitchen of a Cuesta Verde Phase 4 house, or was it phase 5? Heather O'Rourke was amazing when I found out that she remembered the whole script in such a short time. |

Hi, Martin. It was a phase 4 house. |

Thank you for correcting me on that one, CHICKLES82. As a guess, does the 82 refer to 1982, the year Poltergeist film was released? The 73 refers to 1973, the year of my birth. |

I would like to add something to what I had said before... I think that Poltergeist was the best made movie... It was certainly my favorite, but as far as Heather's best performance I think I would go with Poltergeist III... I think that Heather could have done even better than she did but she was limited by the script and what the director wanted. Don't get me wrong, She was wondeful in everything she did, But I dont think anyone allowed her to show what she was capable of. I wish, as you all do, that Heather had the chance to show us what she could do. I think that she was capable of soooo much more than what she had the time to show us. |

I noticed only a few people picked #2...LOL. But I will say this; even though the movie was mostly dry, it did help us to understand the other two a little better by explaining more about Kane and his people. |

My most favs are Poltergeist 2 and 3. I like the third one most because Heather was older and stuff. But she was also equally as beautiful in the second one. Also - ...when I saw the second one, that was when I found out who Julian Beck was. In my opinion, it's like they both had some sort of maNOSPAMism that drew you to them. They're both awesome actors. |

I got hold of the script of Poltergeist and here is a scene that wasn't shown but it was in the script. It's when Carol Ann was being used as a guineapig to show the strange effect in the kitchen. You've seen the part where her father caught her when she was being propell across the floor, but what you didn't see was that Carol Ann sat back down and did it again. This time no one was there to catch her. She was propelled so much faster this time that she put a hole in the wall. If it wasn't for the helmet Carol Anne would have been killed. |

Cool! I can't believe I haven't responded on this yet,but I will now.I have to say, among the 3 movies I liked,no loved, all 3 equally, but I guess if I had to pick one,I'd say the second one because that's the one where Heather was in the most.In the first, and third ones her character, Carol Anne, was taken to the "other side",about half-way through,so you didn't see much of her after that, though at least you saw her for the final 15-20 minutes of the first movie, and in some scenes during the third, though from when she was taken through the puddle in the garage, and when she was brought back at the end, she'd play one of the ghosts pretending to be her character. She was the cutest in the first one, probably because she was only 5 years old then, though she did look cute in the red blanket sleeper in the third movie, but overall,I'd have to say the middle movie was only slightly better, and only because you saw Heather the most in that one. |
